Buckle up, travel enthusiasts, because my recent escapade from Taiwan to the vibrant city of Hanoi, Vietnam was nothing short of exhilarating! Not only did I embark on a thrilling journey to this captivating Southeast Asian gem, but I also had the privilege of addressing eager young minds at Vin University and reuniting with my cousin for an unforgettable rendezvous.
Upon landing in Hanoi, I could hardly contain my excitement as I ventured into the heart of this enchanting metropolis. I was invited to participate as a guest lecturer at the esteemed Vin University, and boy, was I in for a treat! They provided me with a spacious and luxurious two-bedroom apartment that instantly made me feel like royalty. But that’s not all; the icing on the cake was the gleaming motorbike, promising to take my Hanoi adventure to the next level.
My time at Vin University was an absolute blast. I had the pleasure of engaging with a brilliant and enthusiastic student body, discussing intriguing topics and sharing my insights with them. The atmosphere on campus was electric, and I was truly honored to be a part of it.
However, my adventure didn’t stop at the lecture halls. I was over the moon to reunite with my cousin and his family, making this journey all the more special. Our days were filled with culinary escapades that sent our taste buds on a rollercoaster ride. We savored the rich, aromatic notes of Vietnamese egg coffee, indulged in steaming bowls of authentic pho, and relished the unique combination of beef and sticky rice wrapped in Betel leaves. Of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sink my teeth into the famous Bahn Mi sandwich, a true Hanoi delight. One evening, as the sun set over this incredible city, we came together for a heartwarming Indian family-style dinner that left us all with full bellies and big smiles.
Exploring the streets of Hanoi was a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and smells. The city’s rich history came alive as we strolled past century-old French villas and colonial-era government buildings, each oozing with tales of times gone by. Most of my days, though, were dedicated to the sprawling and impressive Vin University campus, where I found myself wandering, and interacting with students and employees alike. My borrowed motorbike became my trusted companion, whisking me through the bustling streets and narrow alleyways, all under the perfect weather Hanoi had to offer.
From the thrill of being a guest lecturer at Vin University to the gastronomic delights and heartwarming family gatherings, my journey from Taiwan to Hanoi was a whirlwind of adventure and exploration. With each passing day, I enjoyed more and more of this captivating city and the incredible people who call it home. Hanoi, you’ve left an indelible mark on my heart, and I can’t wait for the next chapter in my globetrotting adventures!
